Part time, 22.5 hours per week across 2 schools. Location: Croydon & Sutton SEN Schools.

We are looking for a therapist to join our expanding Therapeutic Team to work with our Schools in the Croydon and Sutton area. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop and use your therapeutic knowledge and experience to support colleagues across the group to deliver positive outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues.
  • Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon.
  • Be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support against your own caseload.
  • Develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
  • Contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
  • Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities.
  • Participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HCPC registered.
  • Accredited by BACP, BABCP, or UKCP.
  • Possess a BSc/MSc in Art/Music/Play Therapy or Psychotherapy (nearly qualified accepted).
  • Experience working with Children and Young People or demonstrable transferable skills.
  • Desire to support services by embedding therapeutic practice.
  • Experience teaching, training and/or supervision.
  • Well‑developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously with supervision support.
  • Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Successful completion of satisfactory criminal records check and references.
