About the role
We are looking for SEN Teachers of Primary aged children to join our new school in the Oldham (OL8) area. You will be working with children aged 5-19 in a specialist SEN environment. Thornycroft School will be a brand-new, independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for up to 70 pupils. Based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, the school will meet the diverse needs of pupils aged 5-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism. We provide a holistic, bespoke curriculum with rich learning opportunities that enable young people to develop their functional life skills in order to experience a high quality of life.

- QTS or QTLS qualification
- Proven teaching and learning experience
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
- Outstanding classroom practitioner
- Energy, passion and drive to raise standards
- Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills
- Experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
- Knowledge and understanding of developments in education
