Want to work for a company with great values? Are you compassionate, inspiring, dependable, and collaborative? Horizon Care and Education has an exciting opportunity for a peripatetic teacher to join our Alternative Learning Pathway team in the Rochdale and Oldham area. Horizon Alternative Learning Pathway (HALP) aims to support and engage young people for whom learning in a school environment is not appropriate. We deliver short to medium term, personalised learning programmes nationally — a combination of direct home tutoring, mentoring, and online learning for pupils from ages 8-25.
You will be based at our Great Howarth School and will form part of the team at this school. As a peripatetic teacher, you will visit children to deliver 1-1 education in the community. You will be expected to attend meetings and training at the school and may be asked to cover lessons or provide support in school if needed. You will be working in a variety of non-school settings where you will build and maintain excellent educational relationships with the students. Your focus will be the individual learning needs of the student who has struggled in a school environment. You will need to be a car owner/driver.
