Responsibilities:
- Helping young people continue with hobbies, social activities, and friendships, and learn new skills.
- Providing day‑to‑day care and creating a safe, homely, therapeutic environment; supporting daily routines such as getting ready for school and ensuring healthy and balanced meals.
- Ensuring the young person has a safe space to relax and unwind within the home.
- Supporting our young people to reach their potential and experience new opportunities.
- Supporting young people’s development through stimulating activities and consistent care.
- Building meaningful relationships and ensuring safeguarding needs are met.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and contributing to care planning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Full UK Manual Driving licence is essential to be able to take our children to school appointments and activities.
- Ability to be a great role model to our looked‑after children.
- Ability to build trusting relationships.
- A genuine care and compassion to work with looked‑after children.
- Flexibility to work shifts that include evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
- Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People Workforce.
