We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding Therapeutic Team covering schools in Croydon and Deal, Kent. The role is Part Time for 2 days per week, Term time only and will involve working across three school sites with KS1-4 children in a specialist SEN/SEMH environment.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Manage your own caseload of schools and provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues.
- Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon.
- Assess, set goals and recommend therapeutic support for your own caseload.
- Write and regularly review and update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
- Develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
- Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities.
- Participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group.
What we’re looking for from you
- HCPC registered.
- BSc registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills.
- A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice.
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
- Well‑developed skills in communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work autonomously with support from individual and peer supervision.
- Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values.
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
