We are looking for a 1‑1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Alternative Learning Pathway team at Great Howarth School in Rochdale. As a peripatetic practitioner, you will visit children to deliver tailored 1‑1 education in the community and may be called to provide support in school.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work in a variety of non‑school settings, building and maintaining educational relationships with the students.
- Your focus will be on the individual learning needs of pupils who have struggled in a school environment.
- You will attend meetings and training at the school and, when required, cover lessons or support in school.
Minimum Requirements
- Up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with SEN/SEMH children in a 1‑1 setting, based in the community or home.
- Car driver with own vehicle (full mileage paid at 40p per mile).
