Dudley Port School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Tipton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-16 with varying SEN and SEMH needs. As an Assistant Headteacher you will aim to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes for the pupils as a member of the senior management team. Responsible for the implementation of effective policies and procedures that support the high standards of education. You will work to assist the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school.
Minimum requirements:
- QTS or QTLS Qualification
- Have similar SLT experience in an SEN environment
- Up to date OFSTED knowledge of the SEN education sector and desired outcomes
- Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience

- Strategically oversee the school’s resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities effectively and efficiently
- Collaborate with the headteacher to clearly articulate, disseminate, ensure understanding of, and effectively implement the school’s vision among all stakeholders
- Prioritise pupil achievement, safety, and well-being as the core focus of all school activities
- Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed and actively engage in their learning journey
- Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the entire school community
- Exemplify the school’s values consistently through daily work and actions
