We are looking for SEN Teachers of Secondary aged children to join our new school in the Oldham (OL8) area. You will be working with children aged 5‑19 in a specialist SEN environment. Thornycroft School will be a brand‑new, independent specialist day school providing high‑quality education for up to 70 pupils. Based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, the school will meet the diverse needs of pupils aged 5‑19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism.
We provide a holistic, bespoke curriculum with rich learning opportunities that enable young people to develop their functional life skills in order to experience a high quality of life. Interviews for this role will be on 20th May. Relocation assistance is available for suitable candidates.
Minimum Requirements- QTS or QTLS qualification
- Proven teaching and learning experience
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection qualifications, knowledge and experience
- Outstanding classroom practitioner
- Energy, passion, and drive to raise standards
- Initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills
