We are looking for a therapist to join our expanding Therapeutic Team to work with our Schools in the Croydon and Sutton area. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone believe in themselves, have the confidence to celebrate their own uniqueness and achieve success that is personal to them. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop and use your therapeutic knowledge and experience to support colleagues across the group to deliver positive outcomes for young people.
What you’ll get to do:
- Manage your own caseload of schools to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues.
- Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon.
- Be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload.
- Develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
- Develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
- Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities.
- Participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group.
What we’re looking for from you:
- HCPC registered.
- BACP, BABCP, UKCP accredited BSc/MSc registered Art/Music/Play Therapist or Psychotherapist. We will accept Nearly qualified.
- Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills.
- A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice.
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervision.
- Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values.
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
