Horizon Care and Education have an opportunity for a Youth Support Worker to join our team. Full time and part time hours available.

As a Youth Support Worker you will be helping young people transition to independent living, duties include:

  • Provide emotional and practical support.
  • Develop and review support plans, ensuring safeguarding and risk management.
  • Help young people access education, training, and employment.
  • Manage properties and liaise with other professionals.
  • Support our young people to develop independent living skills to prepare them to live fully independently.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally care leavers.
  • Experience of working in, and managing shared supported housing properties.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and assessment skills.
  • Ability to be resilient and empathetic when working with our young people.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to be able to work shifts that include evenings, weekends and sleep ins.
  • A driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
