As a Deputy Headteacher you will aim to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes for the pupils. You will be a trusted member of the senior management team. Responsible for the implementation of effective policies and procedures that support the high standards of educational.   • QTS or QTLS Qualification
  • Have similar SLT experience in an SEN environment
  • Up to date OFSTED and knowledge of the SEN education sector and desired outcomes.
  • Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.

  • Strategically oversee the school's resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the headteacher to clearly articulate, disseminate, ensure understanding of, and effectively implement the school's vision among all stakeholders.
  • Prioritise pupil achievement, safety, and well-being as the core focus of all school activities.
  • Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed and actively engage in their learning journey.
  • Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the entire school community.
  • Exemplify the school's values consistently through daily work and actions.

Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher for our brand new Wickham Park School, based in Bromley (BR4). Wickham Park School is a brand-new SEN school in the heart of Bromley, South London. Set across three buildings, the school provides exceptional, modern learning facilities for up to 70 pupils aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autism. Wickham Park School's site has an inspiring collection of warm, nurturing classrooms; a vibrant and fully resourced library; a specialist teaching kitchen; a creative art studio; and a suite of dedicated therapeutic and co-regulation spaces designed to support a rich diversity of needs.
