Main duties of the job
- Working alongside experienced clinicians and multidisciplinary colleagues, you'll help deliver high quality outpatient services, supporting patients throughout their care journey.
- You'll combine excellent clinical skills with clear communication and a calm, confident approach to ensure every patient receives safe, efficient and compassionate care.
- You'll also act as a positive role model, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement across the department, whilst also:
- Delivering consistently high standards of nursing care in line with national and corporate guidance
- Assessing patient needs, implementing care plans and evaluating outcomes
- Working collaboratively with doctors and the wider clinical teams to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Supporting patient flow through safe, timely and well coordinated care
- Providing clear, appropriate advice and reassurance to patients and relatives
- Participating in audits, service development and nursing research projects
- Supporting junior staff, acting as a mentor or buddy when required
- Contributing to duty nurse and emergency response cover as appropriate
- Ensuring incidents, accidents or complaints are accurately documented and escalated
- Maintaining mandatory training, professional registration and continued development

About You
- A UK-recognised Registered Nursing qualification and current NMC registration
- UK-based experience in an Outpatients setting
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with a passion for learning
- The ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting

- Experience in wound care
- Experience assisting with minor operations
Other Details
- Location: This role is predominantly based from The Horder Centre, Crowborough, but does also require regular travel to our coastal clinics in Seaford and Eastbourne.
- Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (15 hours per week).
- Salary: up to £13,962.00 per annum pro-rata (£34,905.00 FTE), depending on experience.
In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment.
