We are looking for a creative and passionate Sous Chef to join our experienced catering team and assist the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, and help ensure food is prepared and served to a high standard. Based from The Horder Centre, Crowborough, this is a full-time role, working on a Monday to Sunday shift basis of 5 out of 7 with shifts ranging from 6:30am to 6:30pm.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence to maintain high-quality food preparation and service.
- Participate in menu planning and preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared and served to the required quality and standard.
- City & Guilds 706 Level 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; C.I.E.H. Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Exposure to menu planning with interest in current food and dietary trends.
- Proactive and forward-thinking with a passion for continued learning.
