Overview
Deputy Head of Finance – Fixed Term Contract. We\’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head of Finance to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support both our Head of Finance and newly appointed Finance Director during a pivotal time of transition and strategic development.
You\’ll play a key role in leading financial operations, driving improvements, and ensuring robust financial control across our multi-site organisation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting financial and management accounting, reporting, and control activities.
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet.
- Managing and developing finance teams across multiple locations.
- Enhancing financial systems and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Preparing board-level reports and monthly management accounts.
- Overseeing tax compliance, statutory accounts, and external audits.
- Driving system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- A degree-level qualification in accounting or a related field.
- Proven experience in senior finance roles, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage multi-site teams.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations.
- A solid understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
- Experience in project management and system upgrades.
- Knowledge of strategic financial planning and risk management.
- A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience in healthcare or multi-site environments (desirable but not essential).
