Job responsibilities:

Based from The Horder Centre in Crowborough, we are looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our dedicated surgical team and help deliver exceptional care in a specialist orthopaedic hospital known for outstanding patient outcomes. Playing a key role in supporting the safe and efficient running of theatre sessions, you will work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider perioperative team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide high-quality perioperative care across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative pathway.
  • Prepare and maintain operating theatres, instruments and equipment.
  • Support surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the correct surgical instruments, implants and consumables are available.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any clinical changes.
  • Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards.
  • Ensure accurate patient documentation and records.

About you:

  • Current registration with the appropriate body.
  • Prior experience working in operating theatres.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive approach and commitment to high clinical standards.
  • Experience within orthopaedics is desirable but not essential.

Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough

Contract Type: 37.5 hours per week

Work Pattern: 4 x 8am to 6pm shifts per week, with limited weekend requirement

Salary: £38,941.50 - £42,958.50 per annum, depending on experience

This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK independently, without sponsorship from Horder Healthcare.
