Working as part of a highly skilled, close-knit team, you will play a key role in supporting patients before, during and after their procedures, helping to create a safe, reassuring and caring environment. Main duties of the job
- Supporting patients with dignity, compassion and respect throughout their perioperative pathway.
- Assisting with preparation, transfers and safe patient handling within theatres.
- Taking part in routine clinical tasks such as basic observations, documentation, and equipment preparation.
- Supporting the theatre team during procedures in a circulating role.
- Ensuring high standards of infection prevention and control.
- Escorting patients and assisting with administrative duties as required.
- Reporting changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses or ODPs.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safe, effective teamwork.

Person Specification
About you
- Compassionate, patient-focused and committed to delivering excellent care.
- Approachable, professional and able to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Confident communicating within a clinical environment.
- Prior UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant (hospital or clinical setting preferred).
- Proactive, eager to learn and committed to ongoing development.
- Care Certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
- Willing to uphold Horder Healthcare values: Caring, Friendly, Quality, Integrity, Pride.
