Responsibilities

  • Assess learners through workplace observations, professional discussions and portfolio reviews.
  • Provide constructive, developmental feedback to support learner progression.
  • Monitor progress and support timely completion of qualifications.
  • Carry out Internal Quality Assurance activities, including sampling and standardisation.
  • Support assessors to maintain high-quality assessment practice.
  • Prepare documentation for External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
  • Promote a positive, supportive learning culture aligned to our values.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Level 3 (or above) Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent).
  • Level 4 IQA qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience assessing Health & Social Care qualifications and supporting learners.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

Desirable

  • Apprenticeship assessment experience (Health and Social Care).
  • Experience using e-portfolio systems (Learning Assistant).
  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 AET or above).
