This is an exciting opportunity for anaccomplished classroom teacher with a passion for English to drive outstandingpractice, raise achievement and contribute to the strategic development of theEnglish provision across our secondary academies in the West Hub (Wakefield).
The successful candidatewill be a reflective, proactive and highly effective teacher who is committedto continually developing their own practice, while supporting colleagues tosecure the highest standards of teaching and learning. They will demonstrateboth the expertise and ambition to deliver consistently engaging, challengingand inspiring lessons that foster a love of English and enable all pupils toachieve their full potential.
As a dynamic andinfluential classroom teacher, the post holder will have a proven track recordof raising attainment and improving outcomes for pupils across a range ofabilities. They will possess strong subject knowledge and the ability to teachEnglish confidently and effectively across all Key Stages, modellingexceptional practice and contributing to curriculum development within the Trust.
The ideal candidate will beable to evidence a sustained positive impact on pupil progress and achievementthrough high-quality teaching, effective assessment and a commitment toinclusive practice. About You
The successful candidatewill be…
- A qualified teacher holding QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS), with a relevant degree in English or a closely relatedsubject.
- An inspirational and highly effectiveclassroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising attainment andprogress in English.
- An experienced teacher with the ability tolead, develop and support colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching andlearning across the department.
- Knowledgeable about current curriculumdevelopments, assessment practices and evidence-informed teaching strategieswithin English.
- An excellent communicator with stronginterpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with pupils,staff, parents/carers and external stakeholders.
- Committed to promoting literacy across thecurriculum and fostering a culture of reading, writing and academic excellence.
