Description: To take an active role in the planning and delivery of quality programmes within the Curriculum area. Must already work in the science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake the duties of a lecturer as per the job description and in addition coordinate the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) process, including standardisation activities.
- Oversee External Quality Assurance (EQA) activities, including managing Standards Verifier (SV) visits when necessary.
- Set up and maintain the Markbook structure to effectively track learner progress.
- Monitor compliance with timely Markbook completion and report any issues to the Curriculum Manager (CM).
- Monitor learners' progress against their minimum expected grade (MEG) and report issues to the Curriculum Manager (CM).
- Support the course delivery team to ensure all learners meet or exceed their minimum expected grade (MEG).
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to identify exam schedules and liaise with the exams department to ensure exams are booked accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all key assessment grades are inputted into Markbook by the specified deadlines.
- Ensure all pressure tests are written and completed by the specified deadlines.
- Support staff and students in entering World Skills and Greater Manchester (GM) competitions.
- Conduct audits of student feedback and report any issues to the Curriculum Manager (CM).

- Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards.

- Degree and/or relevant professional qualification e.g. HNC/D.
