Class Teacher Full Time in Diss

Class Teacher Full Time in Diss

Diss Full-Time On-site
Hopton C of E Primary Academy

Start Date: 1st January 2027 or as soon as possible after.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a small village primary school within a very supportive community. This small-scale approach gives our children a real opportunity to thrive. We are seeking a committed teacher, with a passion for a child-centred curriculum, to continue this approach and develop our provision further in our mixed age class.

Hopton C of E Primary Academy is an inclusive, rural school on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk. We are very welcoming and friendly, with excellent relationships with our parents and wider community. Our school is in an exciting phase as we have joined the Elveden Schools Trust. We have forest schools and OPAL play in place which is an exciting offer for our school community.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, class teacher for a KS2 class. There will also be the opportunity to lead curriculum subjects and this will depend on the successful candidates’ particular areas of expertise, as well as the needs of the school. Experience of teaching a mixed KS2 class is desirable, as is a good knowledge of the curriculum. SEND and DSL experience is also desirable.

All staff at the school benefit from an employee assistance programme, as well as open opportunities to contribute to the school development, high-quality CPD and opportunities for career progression.

We reserve the right to close this application early if sufficient applications have been received.

Hopton C of E Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All appointments will be subject to full safeguarding checks as well as satisfactory references.

Closing date is Monday 23rd November at 9am.

Interviews will be Wednesday 25th November.
