Job Description

We\'re seeking a licensed clinician who combines professional excellence with genuine compassion to transform family outcomes. You\'ll bring advanced therapeutic skills directly into homes and communities, creating healing environments for children and families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Your clinical license is the foundation for your adaptable, strengths-based approach that helps families navigate complex challenges toward reunification or permanency planning. If you thrive in dynamic settings, find fulfillment in meeting clients where they are, and believe in every family\'s capacity for positive change, your expertise could be the catalyst that helps vulnerable families rewrite their stories.

About The Program

We intervene upstream by teaming up with families to stay together. Families in crisis often face stressors like poverty, but the right supports can help build brighter futures.

Through our Support & Stabilization program, we provide intensive in-home supports to families involved with DCF working to maintain or regain custody of their children. Our services aim to alleviate crises, helping more families stay intact and reducing foster placements.

The Impact You\'ll Create

As a Licensed Clinician, guided by our Clinical Supervisor, you\'ll be part of transformative care teams that change family trajectories. Your therapeutic expertise will empower children and families through trauma-informed therapy, collaboration with resource teams, and advocacy. You\'ll help rewrite narratives of pain into stories of possibility, connecting families to community resources and fostering resilience for lasting stability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide community-based clinical counseling for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Conduct assessments of strengths, progress, and needs.
  • Develop treatment and safety plans with the team, outlining goals and interventions.
  • Act as team lead when a team approach is necessary, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Maintain case documentation per regulations and policies.
  • Make referrals and connect families to community resources.
  • Assist caregivers in navigating systems and accessing supports.
  • Collaborate with DCF, community organizations, and service providers.
  • Attend meetings such as foster care reviews and treatment planning.
  • Provide transportation for visits and appointments as needed.
  • Participate in rotating on-call system, including emergency responses outside business hours.
  • Ensure timely processing of paperwork and billing documentation.
  • Engage in supervision, staff meetings, and training.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related.
  • Mid-tier license (LCSW, LSMHC) working towards independent licensure.
  • Independent license preferred (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT).
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience with children and families with behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with email and word processing.
  • Ability to multitask, make decisions, and support clients clinically.
  • Empathy, flexibility, resourcefulness, professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus!

Additional Skills:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, including navigating community supports.
  • Knowledge of child development, mental health, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with families.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to support diverse backgrounds.

  • Background checks as required.
  • Current trainings and licensure compliance.
