Role Purpose: Monitor, manage, and report on key balance sheet risks (liquidity, interest rate, and capital). Forecast risk measures for base and stressed scenarios, supporting regulatory documents (ILAAP, ICAAP, Recovery Plan). Manage and develop a Treasury Middle Office Analyst, deputising for the Head of Treasury & ALM. Collaborate across teams to enhance risk controls, policies, and reporting. Act as ALCO Secretary, coordinating meetings, agendas, and documentation. Serve as Treasury Risk Champion, managing risk registers and audit actions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily management of treasury limits and ALM positions within the Risk Management Framework.
- Prepare and optimise ALCO packs with key insights and time horizons.
- Oversee interest rate risk management and hedging strategies.
- Lead liquidity forecasting, stress testing, and ILAAP/Recovery Plan contributions.
- Perform capital forecasting to support strategic planning and regulatory requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise on treasury-related regulations.
- Continuously review processes to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.
- Manage team performance with regular check-ins and development support.
- Foster a risk-aware culture and contribute to sustainability and ESG goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Professional accounting or treasury qualification.
- Strong knowledge of ALM, stress testing, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with ALCO logistics, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Excel and handling large datasets.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience with ALM systems (e.g., ALMIS).
- Background in building societies or mutuals.
- Experience navigating ALM functions through transformation programs.
