Empowering You is seeking a Programs and Community Manager to oversee the delivery of its award-winning leadership development programs and alumni networks across the UK. Empowering You designs and delivers experiential leadership development programs with the goal of harnessing the power of leadership to create more diverse, inclusive and successful organisations.
Working with partners in government and industry, Empowering You runs a range of leadership initiatives, many of which are free to participants, targeted on specific sectors experiencing challenges in the areas of talent/skills and diversity. Our “Empowering Women to Lead…” programs are one such example and now have an alumni community of over 400 women in digital/InfoSec roles across the UK.
The Programs and Community Manager is a vital role, working with our team of coaches and facilitators, as well as our partners in government, industry, and academia, to oversee the delivery of our leadership programs across the UK. The role is also responsible for supporting our alumni community through the running of meetings and events, creation of content, and regular direct engagement.
This role would be ideal for someone who is organised, driven, actively enjoys engaging with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and is highly adaptable, as the role will involve a combination of both operational/administrative duties as well as running meetings with senior industry and government partners.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of all leadership programs including selection process, onboarding of all participants, allocation of coaches to participants, logistical details, and overall participant experience.
- Work alongside the commercial team to manage relationships with key partners from government, industry, and academia.
- Manage all post-program engagement with participants, including feedback process.
- Work with the coaching and facilitation team to support the development of new offerings that meet the needs of the community.
- Support the development of thriving regional communities across the UK; coordinating regular community check-ins, curating relevant and useful content for the network, and gauging the engagement level of the community.
- Shape the content, event logistics, and communication for twice yearly community events in each region.
Experience/Capabilities:
Essential:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Good levels of competence with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and ideally some experience of managing databases and running email campaigns.
- Strong inter-personal skills.
Desired:
- Some experience/understanding of building and maintaining a membership community.
- Experience of interacting with senior leaders, C-Suite, Board Level, etc.
- Experience of curating and creating engaging content (members newsletters, online blogs/journals, etc.).
- Some experience of the training/coaching/leadership development sector.
