King’s School of Theology

KST is a vibrant, community-centred Christian theological college. We run affordable, accessible part-time courses in theology. Our courses serve everyday Christians – equipping people from all walks of life for ‘whole of life’ discipleship to make a difference in the world. We have 40 years’ experience in equipping people for life and ministry. Started within the Evangelical Charismatic tradition, we serve Christians from all denominations all across the UK, and internationally. KST Operations Manager – (up to 2.5 days per week)

KST is recruiting for a new part-time Operations Manager to be part of the team to lead KST into the next stage of its development. We are looking for a highly-organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver our operations and external communications, in its diverse aspects. In addition to that which is detailed here, the specific responsibilities and role can be tailored to the strengths and skills of the successful applicant. The level of responsibilities will depend on applicant experience and suitability. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Communications and Marketing: Implement effective communications with individuals and groups external to the organisation. Implement key marketing strategies including social media.
  • Event Management: Responsibility for the operational planning and event management of KST teaching weekends and short courses. Operational support for other events such as Graduation and taster events.
  • Administration: Responsibility for providing administrative support to the Principal and Academic Dean, Track teams and the KST Exec. Undertake finance administration including banking and book-keeping.
  • Admissions: Responsibility for the annual admissions process, including student applications and finance arrangements.
  • General: Support students in their spiritual life through their studies, and support the spiritual life of the college.

In addition to the responsibilities above the successful candidate will be a good organiser and communicator, able to work remotely with a minimal amount of supervision and able to work to deadlines. Candidates should have a good GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Training will be given on specific software packages including our online learning platform (Moodle), although competent use of Microsoft Office is required. The successful candidate must have a permit to work in the UK.

The role will normally be home-based working, but with travel to meetings as necessary. Exact hours and days of work are negotiable, but assumed to be during normal weekday working hours. Attendance at each KST teaching weekend is required as part of the role.

King’s School of Theology is a Christian college and there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010: Part 1, Schedule 9.

The salary in the range £25,000-£30,000 pro rata, depending on the competencies and experience of the successful candidate. We pay contributions to a pension scheme, and offer 25 days holiday pro rata, in addition to bank holidays.
