The Mental Health Hub by MeYouWellbeing is a UK-wide non-profit organisation delivering grassroots, community-focused, therapeutic crisis intervention and mental health support. The Mental Health Hub by MeYouWellbeing prioritises mental health support which is accessible, trauma informed, culturally appropriate and free from financial, administrative or technical barriers.

Our goal is to be the number one provider of equitable, free (or low cost) mental health support in the UK.

Role: Head of Student Placements & Wellbeing (Volunteer)

Days: Flexible

Hours: 10 hours per week

Duration: Priority given to those who can volunteer for a minimum of 12 months

Style: Digital/ Remote but there might be in person events

Salary/ Stipend: Expenses only

Contract: Volunteer

Role Description

We are looking for an amazing Head of Student Placements & Wellbeing, is that you?

The Head of Student Placements & Wellbeing will be responsible for overseeing the Student Placement and Wellbeing Team at The Mental Health Hub by MeYouWellbeing. This will include being responsible and accountable for the recruitment, onboarding, and management of the UK-wide counselling and psychotherapy students that apply to join The Mental Health Hub\’s Student Placement Scheme. Your role will be to ensure that the Student Placement and Wellbeing Team are well supported, carefully coordinated and led in an encouraging & organised manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a team of a minimum 3-5 people
  • Proven experience of student placement/ student enrolment processes
  • Experience working with students of all ages
  • Experience in organised management/developing processes
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, dashboards and other IT systems
  • A history of working within schools, further or higher education or a commercial environment
  • Occasional attendance at face-to-face events at universities, schools, colleges and exhibitions
  • A good communicator and an all round team player
  • Be warm, empathetic and professional
  • Attention to detail
  • A passion for mental health
