Hope Physiotherapy is expanding and we are looking for an experienced and motivated HCPC registered Podiatrist with a strong interest in MSK and biomechanics to join our growing private practice. About the Role
You will assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of MSK, biomechanical, orthopaedic and lower‑limb conditions, providing individualised care plans and long‑term management strategies. The role also includes routine podiatry to ensure continuity of care across a diverse patient group. A key element of the position is the prescription, fitting and modification of orthoses, working closely with other clinicians to ensure an integrated approach to treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality MSK, biomechanical and core podiatry interventions
- Carry out detailed gait, biomechanical, orthopaedic and neurological assessments
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of lower‑limb conditions using strong clinical reasoning
- Develop individualised treatment plans including orthoses, exercise therapy, shockwave therapy, strapping and patient education
- Prescribe, fit and modify both custom and prefabricated foot orthoses
- Provide routine care including diabetic foot checks, vascular and neurological assessments, wound care and nail surgery (if qualified)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in line with clinical and GDPR requirements
- Educate patients on rehabilitation, foot health and injury prevention
- Support or supervise students where required
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain HCPC registration and meet ongoing CPD expectations
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, confidentiality and health and safety procedures
Person Specification
Essential
- Degree or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Experience in MSK and biomechanical podiatry
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving ability
- Competence in gait analysis, biomechanics and orthoses prescription
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Understanding of safeguarding, governance and clinical standards
Desirable
- Certificate in Local Anaesthesia with nail surgery experience
- Experience in private practice or a varied clinical setting
- Experience treating high‑risk or complex patients
- Experience with exercise therapy, strapping or shockwave therapy
- Confidence using digital clinical systems
