HOPE not hate is the UK’s leading anti-fascist organisation. Our mission is simple – to monitor and challenge the far right, to engage in the communities that are susceptible to them and to address the issues and policies which give rise to them.
Our team includes researchers, educators, community activists and policy experts, as well as specialists with inside access to far-right groups.
This role is essential to HNH, and a key part of our Operations Team, acting as a first point of contact for supporter enquiries, coordinating communications, and providing smooth operational support for the whole organisation. You will play a key role within the team at a crucial time for us.
What you’ll be doing in this role
- Act as a first point of contact for supporter and general enquiries.
- Monitor and respond to shared inboxes; action, triage, and forward enquiries to the appropriate team members.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Team and wider leadership team when required.
- Act as a point of contact for internal team enquiries
- Support the Director of Operations to improve systems and create smoother, more efficient processes.
Finance & Compliance
- Supporting financial operations, including processing expenses,
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting and KPI monitoring
- Assist with health and safety requirements, assessments, and follow-up actions.
- Support operational compliance across the organisation.
- Handle supporter, volunteer, and staff data in line with GDPR and data protection legislation.
Policies & Governance Support
- Assist with the administration, maintenance, and review of organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure colleagues have access to up-to-date policies and operational information.
HR & People Operations
- Assist with recruitment admin and onboarding of new staff.
- Support staff training admin, including bookings and logistics.
- Maintain employee records on our HRIS
What we think you’ll need to be able to do the job
- Proactive and results orientated, with great attention to detail, as well as having the ability to plan and organise several work streams effectively.
- Experience in a customer/client/donor support, administrative or operations role.
- Confident in engaging a team productively in administrative essentials.
- Ability to proactively identify problems and present potential solutions
- Excellent IT skills across all MS Applications and a willingness to share knowledge and best practice across teams.
- Experience of data management
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Confident working independently as well as within a team.
- A passion for the work that we do, building HOPE in communities and challenging hate.
