Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the hospice care team, implementing new and existing therapy programmes, monitoring and adapting them in liaison with young people, their families, and home-based therapists.
  • Collaborate with other services to provide care and support for the family.
  • Support the education, training and development of other care team members, encouraging a reflective and evidence‑based approach to therapy service delivery through audit, policy & procedure and service development.
  • Provide flexible care, including travel to local communities and both hospices, and work flexible hours, including weekends and out‑of‑hours as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life‑limiting conditions and children’s palliative care.
  • Ability to prioritise day‑to‑day clinical care effectively using evidence‑based practice.
  • Confident swimmer and able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’; disability‑confident.

Organisational Details

  • Full‑time Band B Physiotherapist based in Ty Gobaith, Conwy.
  • Permanent appointment, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with expectations to work flexibly on weekends and out‑of‑hours to meet the needs of children and families.
