Hope House has an opportunity available for an Assistant Shop Manager to join the team in our Bridgnorth shop. The role is a permanent, part‑time position (22.5 hours per week) with a standard working week that includes a Saturday or Sunday and either two full weekdays or one full weekday and two weekday half‑days. The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of £25,787 – £28,471 per annum (FTE) and a comprehensive reward package.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Create and maintain high‑standard sales floor displays.
  • Support the Manager in shop leadership, managing staff and volunteers to achieve commercial targets.
  • Maintain internal and external relationships to support stock generation.
  • Ensure efficient stock processing systems; verify that stock levels are sufficient and fluid.
  • Reception, location, storage and transfer of new goods; keep inventory accurate.
  • Capture Gift Aid at every opportunity to maximise revenue from donations.
  • Operate the Cyber till EPOS system, observing all cash handling and recording procedures; complete daily banking, weekly return forms and any other required recordings in compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
