Are you looking for your next opportunity as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor? Hope House Children’s Hospices invites you to join our team in Oswestry on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The role includes occasional weekend and out-of-hours work to meet the needs of the service.

Salary: £28,118 to £29,929 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Physiotherapy Technical Instructor role:

  • To take part in the delivery of the therapy service across the organisation, ensuring holistic, child and family-centred care.
  • Work using your own initiative and as a team player.

You will:

  • Participate as a member of the Hospice Care Team, following therapy programmes under the direction of the Therapist and feedback outcomes.
  • Follow aqua therapy plans alongside the Therapist and independently.
  • Be actively involved in the education, training and development of other care team members.
  • Be highly organised, communicate effectively, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure high-quality treatment for children and families.
  • Be flexible in approach to work, able to travel in local communities and to both hospices, and work hours to meet the needs of the children and families.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Has A levels and GCSEs including grade C in English and Maths.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent (Desirable).
  • Experience working in a hospital/nursing environment.
  • Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care.
  • Is a confident swimmer and has or can complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’.
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to do presentations.
