Hope House Children’s Hospices has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team based in Oswestry. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £43,201 – £48,878 per annum, depending on experience.
Main duties:
- Prepare management accounts, year‑end preparation and audit support.
- Forecast, budget and maintain payroll functions.
- Ensure good financial governance, compliance with regulations and best practice.
- Lead and develop a finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance.
- Assist with financial planning and allocation of resources across the charity.
- Permit occasional travel within Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- At least two years’ management experience within a finance function.
- Experience with management accounts, audit support, forecasting and budgeting.
- Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct.
- High level of IT proficiency and comfort with digital working.
- Hands‑on leadership style with a “sleeves rolled up” approach.

- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or comparable level.
- At least two years’ management experience in a finance function.
