Are you looking for your next opportunity as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor? Then join Hope House Children’s Hospices in Oswestry on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The role offers a competitive salary of £28,118 to £29,929 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the therapy service across the organisation with holistic, child and family-centred care, using your own initiative and as a team player.
  • Participate as a member of the Hospice Care Team; follow therapy programmes under the direction of the Therapist and feedback outcomes.
  • Follow aqua therapy plans alongside the Therapist and independently; actively be involved in the education, training and development of other care team members.
  • Communicate effectively, work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure high-quality treatment for the children and families.
  • Travel to local communities and to both hospices; work hours flexibly to meet the needs of the children and their families.

Requirements / What we are looking for

  • Has A levels, and GCSEs including grade C in English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience working in a hospital/nursing environment
  • Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care
  • Confident swimmer and able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a team
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to do presentations
