Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a part‑time, permanent basis, working 30 hours per week in 7.5‑hour days between Monday and Sunday on a rota basis. In return, you will receive a competitive rate of £24,786 to £25,281 per annum (full‑time equivalent), based on experience.
About the Housekeeping Assistant role
Your role as Housekeeping Assistant is to provide a hygienic environment in which families feel welcome and comfortable, and to maintain the standards of cleanliness appropriate to the organisation. Your customer service, approachability and flexibility will be important to your success, as well as your technical knowledge and skills. You will be a reliable individual with high professional standards and will be capable of quickly integrating into the Hospitality team at Hope House. You will be flexible in your approach to working hours, which will include rotational weekend work.
What we are looking for in a Housekeeping Assistant
- To provide a hygienic environment in which users and their families feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay
- To closely work alongside Care Team colleagues in the delivery of support to users and their families
- To adopt a flexible approach to daily duties, providing a seamless support service to the hospice
- To ensure infection control measures are followed meticulously
- To work positively and methodically as part of a small facilities team
