Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Bank Nurse Associate to join our team based at the hospice in Oswestry.

As a Bank Nurse Associate you will have the flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts, supporting the team by providing additional cover for absence and holiday. In return, our Bank Nursing Associate will receive a competitive rate of £14.87 per hour, plus unsociable and weekend enhancements.

About the Bank Nurse Associate role

We are looking for skilled, motivated and compassionate Nurse Associates to join our Bank care team, supporting the delivery of specialist palliative and end‑of‑life care for children and young people. You will preferably have a minimum of two years post‑registration experience. As a Bank Nurse Associate you will be expected to deliver a high standard of individualised care to children and young people with complex nursing needs. The ability to integrate quickly, adapt to different teams and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential.

In return we will provide you with a comprehensive induction and access to relevant staff training opportunities. This role is ideal for Nurse Associates seeking flexible working opportunities, who are able to respond to shifts as required whilst maintaining the highest standards of care. You will continue to develop your knowledge and clinical skills enabling you to deliver the highest standards of care, which supports our values and ethos that no one should suffer the death of a child alone.

Whilst maintaining and enhancing your skills, you will have the opportunity and time to build meaningful relationships with children and their families, which make these incredibly fulfilling roles. As a valued member of our team, you will be providing care to children and young people who have been diagnosed with a life‑limiting and life‑threatening condition. You will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.

We are looking for a Bank Nurse Associate who:
