Hope Homecare is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly nurse-led team. The role involves supporting adults and children within their homes and community settings, including individuals with complex needs, while promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing, and person‑centred support.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Support service users with daily living activities and routines.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement.
- Assist individuals with personal care where required.
- Support service users within the community, including appointments and social activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration.
- Support individuals with mobility and safe use of equipment.
- Assist with medication prompts and wellbeing monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and person‑centred support.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team.
- Ensure service users remain safe, comfortable, and supported at all times.
- Travel safely between service users' homes and community settings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous support work or care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
