Hope Homecare is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly nurse-led team. The role involves supporting adults and children within their homes and community settings, including individuals with complex needs, while promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing, and person-centred support. As a Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional, and social support to service users, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life within a safe and supportive environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support service users with daily living activities and routines
  • Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement
  • Assist individuals with personal care where required
  • Support service users within the community, including appointments and social activities
  • Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration
  • Support individuals with mobility and safe use of equipment
  • Assist with medication prompts and wellbeing monitoring
  • Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and person-centred support
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team
  • Ensure service users remain safe, comfortable, and supported at all times
  • Travel safely between service users’ homes and community settings

Requirements

  • A caring, compassionate, and reliable attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous support work or care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is advantageous
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Sponsorship may be available for drivers with their own vehicles
