Hope Homecare is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly nurse-led team. The role involves supporting adults and children within their homes and community settings, including individuals with complex needs, while promoting independence, dignity, wellbeing, and person‑centred support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support service users with daily living activities and routines.
  • Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement.
  • Assist individuals with personal care where required.
  • Support service users within the community, including appointments and social activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration.
  • Support individuals with mobility and safe use of equipment.
  • Assist with medication prompts and wellbeing monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and person‑centred support.
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team.
  • Ensure service users remain safe, comfortable, and supported at all times.
  • Travel safely between service users' homes and community settings.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A caring, compassionate, and reliable attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous support work or care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs is advantageous.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
