Bookkeeper Position/Full time/Central Bristol
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our Property Management team on a full-time basis, with flexible hours available.
Hooton’s is a well-established commercial property business based in the heart of Bristol, with over 30 years of industry experience. Specialising in the Retail, Industrial, and Office markets, providing tailored property solutions for SMEs and private investors.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated individual with strong bookkeeping and finance expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work alongside current Accounts Manager, while managing priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day financial transactions.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Reconcile client bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Produce VAT statements.
- Assist in the preparation of Service Charge budgets and forecasts.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks for efficient record-keeping.
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of QuickBooks (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience of working in a property management business (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
