An established specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of fire door and specialist joinery projects across the UK. This is a hands-on, site-focused role suited to someone who enjoys being close to project delivery. You will spend a significant amount of time travelling between live sites, supporting teams, meeting clients, monitoring quality and programme, and resolving issues on the ground. This is not a predominantly office-based management position.
We are looking for someone with strong practical and technical knowledge who is comfortable taking ownership of multiple projects and getting involved when required.
The Role
- Manage multiple projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover, with responsibilities including:
- Regular travel to live projects throughout the UK
- Managing multiple fire door, remediation and specialist joinery contracts
- Supporting and managing Site Managers, Supervisors, installers and subcontractors
- Monitoring site progress, workmanship, productivity and compliance
- Resolving practical and technical issues on site
- Planning labour and resources across multiple projects
