Are you a successful Business Development Manager selling into architects, specifiers, contractors, housebuilders or housing associations?
This is an opportunity to join an established specialist within the fire safety and compliance sector, taking responsibility for developing new business across the UK built environment.
You don't need to come directly from fire safety.
We're equally interested in strong architectural specification, construction product and building product sales professionals who have a proven track record of winning business and influencing projects through architects, specifiers and the wider construction supply chain.
The opportunity
You'll be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities, targeting customers including:
- Architects & architectural practices
- Specifiers & consultants
- Tier 1 contractors
- Housebuilders & developers
- Housing associations
- Other organisations across the built environment
This is a proactive new-business position where you'll have the autonomy to develop your territory, identify key accounts and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
You'll lead customer conversations to understand their requirements, risks and commercial drivers before working alongside technical specialists to develop the right solution. xgikmsk The original brief places particular emphasis on proactive business generation, discovery, tailored solutions, proposals, negotiation and closing profitable business.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and executing a targeted territory and key-account plan
- Identifying and approaching new prospective customers
- Building senior relationships across the construction and specification market
- Generating your own opportunities through proactive business development
- Understanding customer requirements, projects and decision-making processes
- Working with technical teams to develop tailored solutions
- Preparing and presenting compelling commercial proposals
- Managing multiple stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
- Negotiating and closing profitable new business
- Developing a strong, sustainable sales pipeline
