Fire Door Installer / Fire Door Joiner

We are currently recruiting experienced Fire Door Installers / Fire Door Joiners for a prestigious high-end residential development in Battersea.
This is a long-term contract with work expected to last up to 6 months. There will be a short planned break during the project before works resume, offering an excellent opportunity for installers looking for consistent work.
The Role
You will be carrying out a mixture of new fire door installations and fire door remedial works, ensuring all doors meet current fire safety standards and project specifications.
Typical duties include:
- Installing complete fire door sets, frames and ironmongery.
- Carrying out remedial works including replacing seals, hinges, locks, closers and other fire door components.
- Making adjustments to ensure doors comply with fire safety regulations.
- Working from drawings, schedules and inspection reports.
- Recording completed work and photographic evidence using a smartphone or tablet.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and following all site health & safety procedures.
Requirements
To be considered, you should have:
- Blue CSCS Card (minimum).
- At least 3 years' experience installing and repairing fire doors.
- Good knowledge of current fire door regulations and compliance standards.
- Your own professional joinery tools (including battery/110v tools).
- Ability to work independently and produce work to a high standard.
- A professional attitude and good communication skills.
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- Asbestos Awareness.
- First Aid.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Fire door manufacturer training or additional fire safety qualifications.

Pay
Pay: £290 per day (CIS)
Rate is dependent on previous fire door experience, qualifications, references and interview. Higher rates available for exceptional candidates.
