About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Assistant. The role will focus on income allocation, reconciliation activities and systems administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring income is correctly processed and allocated across various systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate income received
- Manage and maintain income processing systems.
- Reconcile income transactions against bank records.
- Support the administration of finance systems and processes.
- Assist with payment processing activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Provide general support to the Transactional Finance team.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- AAT qualification (or working towards).
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment.
- Strong reconciliation and data processing skills.
- Experience of allocating and processing income.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong IT skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience using Pay360
- Experience of systems administration within a finance function.
- Local government or public sector finance experience.
