Social Worker (Adult Social Care) – A vibrant social work opportunity at Herefordshire Community Wellbeing.
Location: Hereford City, Ross on Wye and Leominster. Hours: 37 per week. Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 + £3,000 welcome payment.
Qualifications
- Registered with Social Work England and holds a qualifying degree.
- Deep understanding of current legislation and its real‑world impact.
- Willingness to pursue further qualifications such as Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, Approved Mental Health Professional.
- Effective collaboration with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Care Act assessments and person‑centred support planning.
- Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and Section 42 Enquiries.
- Work with diverse adult populations, including those with physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
- Apply a strength‑based approach to empower individuals and champion independence.
- Engage in CHC and S117 work to ensure seamless support.
- Receive regular supervision and celebrate professional growth.
