The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Rough Sleeper and Tenancy Support Officer to provide an efficient and effective temporary accommodation service for those where the Council has a duty to accommodate, by providing a housing management service to households within the bounds of temporary accommodation legislation under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 as amended.
What will you be doing?
- Providing resettlement advice to homeless households moving into temporary accommodation and support to move on or relocate when the duty comes to an end, signposting to support agencies as appropriate.
- Following temporary accommodation policy and procedures and ensuring best practice relating to the service.
About You
- You should be a good communicator who is able to work across the public, private sector and faith sector.
- Be passionate about and have a track record of making a difference to vulnerable people.
- Demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to working.
- Be able to grasp a complex working environment and develop cohesive solutions to make services better for people.
- Have knowledge of Housing legislation.
