We are seeking a proactive and motivated Deputy Manager to join our bespoke Nursery. You will support the day-to-day operation of our nursery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager/Managing Director to ensure high-quality provision, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and lead staff in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. This role includes supporting curriculum planning, overseeing safeguarding and welfare standards, mentoring team members, and building positive relationships with children and families. Ideal candidates will be strong communicators with excellent organisational skills and a passion for early years.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A background in early childhood education is essential.
- Experience in childcare settings, demonstrating an understanding of child development principles.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of the nursery throughout the day.
- Available to work between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
- Level 3 or above in Early Years.
Full-time - 32 hours per week. Competitive wage depending on experience.
