About The Role

Enable has an exciting opportunity for a Supported Internship Employment Officer to join our team, supporting disabled people into meaningful employment and work placements. This is a community-based role working across Herefordshire and surrounding areas, delivered in close partnership with local Further Education providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students participating in the Supported Internship programme, helping them develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to transition successfully into the workplace.
  • Create vocational profiles and offer tailored advice to young people with SEND.
  • Sourcing placement opportunities and building strong employer partnerships.
  • Provide in‑work and post‑employment support to ensure long‑term success.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage a caseload effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good standard of education and confidence using IT systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a caseload and prioritising tasks.
  • Desirable: Level 3 Supported Employment qualification (full training and support provided).
