37.5 Hours per Week (Monday - Friday, Alternate Weekends) | Location: Hillside Care Centre

About the role
We're looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our welcoming team. You'll play an important part in helping us provide nutritious, well-presented meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the kitchen in compliance with food hygiene standards.
- Help to prepare and serve three healthy and nutritious meals daily, catering to the individual dietary needs of our residents.
- Assist with food preparation and meal service.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow food safety and health and safety procedures.
- Help monitor stock levels and report shortages.
- Support the cook with day-to-day kitchen duties.
What We Are Looking For
- A positive and hardworking attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- Understanding of food hygiene principles (training can be provided).
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (training can be provided).
- A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work alternate weekends.
