About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Housing Service as a Team Lead. You will manage a team of frontline Housing Solutions Officers, ensuring high standards of service delivery in line with Council policies and procedures. You will oversee the delivery of a comprehensive housing advice service, advising on housing options such as home ownership, private rented sector opportunities, and a range of affordable housing solutions, with a focus on homelessness prevention and early intervention.
Your responsibilities include supervising and supporting Housing Officers in conducting homelessness assessments and interviews where homelessness cannot be prevented. These duties must be carried out in accordance with the Housing Act 1996 (Part VII, as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017), the Homelessness Code of Guidance, and local Council policy. You will also ensure that vulnerable individuals are supported and safeguarded throughout their housing journey.

These qualities enable you to understand customer needs, resolve complex housing issues, and build effective relationships with service users and stakeholders.
