£25,989 - £28,142 (pro rata) 16hrs/week. Home-Start Herefordshire is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with children 0-18 years. It provides regular support and practical help to families under stress, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

Responsibilities

  • Working both directly (providing support to parents directly) and indirectly (working with volunteers and partner organisations) with families and children.
  • Planning, managing and delivering outcomes-focused support.
  • Working alongside the wider team to contribute to the effective day-to-day operation and development of our organisation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant experience (paid or voluntary).
  • Prioritise excellent safeguarding practices and some knowledge of the roles of agencies providing services for children and families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of non-judgemental support and of the values and ethos of the organisation.
  • An enhanced disclosure check will be required.

Location and Travel

  • Based at our offices at Thorn Business Park, Rotherwas, Hereford.
  • Will require travel across the county.
  • A valid driving licence and use of own car are essential (expenses paid).
