Job Title: Safeguarding School Improvement Advisor
Hours: 37 (term time only option available following discussion)
Salary: Soulburyscale points 9 – 11 – £52,711 – £55,520 per annum (pro rata if term time only)

The Role

We wish to recruit an experienced safeguarding improvement adviser to join the team. The safeguarding improvement advisor will work with the School Improvement advisor, Lead for Education Safeguarding and the wider Directorate Team on all matters related to the performance and strategic management of safeguarding and governance education within Herefordshire.
You will be a qualified teacher with a wealth of experience of overseeing and auditing safeguarding and governance improvement activities either with a school or local authority in a senior leadership role.
You will have a proven track record of leading improvements within your current educational role and of supporting more than one school to ensure their safeguarding processes are robust.
The successful candidate will have the requisite skillset to support the local authority to embed a performance culture which leads to improved outcomes for children.
Safeguarding of children and young people is taken seriously by the council and a disclosure and barring services check will be undertaken for successful applicants.
